Komandor manufactures and installs home office glass partitions across Toronto & the GTA — LUMI aluminium-framed walls, doors and screens that give you a quiet, closed-off place to work without giving up daylight or floor space.
Every office is made to measure in our Mississauga factory and installed by our own team — no framing, no drywall, no permits for a demountable interior wall. Part of the full glass partitions range, with matching interior glass doors.

| Setup | How it works | Privacy | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Swing-door office (LUMI Light) | Framed glass wall with a hinged door — feels like a built room | Visual + moderate sound | Dedicated offices, dens |
| Privacy office (LUMI Heavy) | Heavier profile, self-closing swing door with locking handle | Highest — lockable | Client calls, focused work |
| Sliding-door office | Panels glide across openings 30–116″ wide — no swing clearance | Visual + moderate sound | Tight rooms, wide openings |
| Fixed screen & divider | Full-height glass screen zones the room without a door | Visual separation | Shared spaces, gym/office splits |
All demountable — they come apart and reinstall if you move the office or move house.
Where home office partitions work
Real GTA installs, digitally staged — see more in the home design gallery.

The dedicated office
A frosted or fluted enclosure turns a corner of the house into a real office — daylight in, background blurred.

Office + gym combos
One glass wall splits work and workout zones so a single room earns its keep twice.

Shared living spaces
Sliding panels carve a work nook out of the living or dining room — open by evening, closed by nine a.m.

Home office partition FAQs
How much does a home office glass partition cost in Toronto?
Swing-door offices (LUMI Light) start from $1,650, privacy offices (LUMI Heavy, the version with the larger jamb and integrated doorstop) from $2,200, and sliding-door setups from $2,050 — most projects land between $3,000 and $7,000, with large multi-panel walls to about $12,250. All published prices are for the product only, before tax; installation and delivery are quoted separately by size and complexity. 2026 pricing from our published LUMI price guide; see the ranges above.
Will a glass partition keep my calls private?
It keeps conversation muffled and distraction out, though glass is not a soundproof wall. A LUMI Heavy door gives the best separation: a larger jamb with an integrated doorstop closes the perimeter gaps, giving roughly 24 dB of reduction against roughly 15 dB for a Light door. Full-height panels with laminated glass help further, and a locking handle keeps the room secure between meetings.
Can I add a home office without building permanent walls?
Yes. LUMI partitions are demountable aluminium-and-glass walls, made to measure in our Mississauga factory and structurally secured in the room without framing or drywall. They install quickly and can be reconfigured or removed later.
What glass keeps my background tidy on video calls?
Frosted and fluted glass are the popular picks: they pass daylight through but blur the room behind you, so the household stays off camera. Clear glass suits dedicated offices where you want full sight lines; architectural and coloured glass add a design statement. All are available in tempered and laminated safety versions.
Sliding or swing door for a home office?
Swing doors (to about 40″ wide, and up to 110″ tall depending on weight, or 118″ overall with a transom) feel like a true room, and the Heavy version adds a larger jamb with an integrated doorstop for privacy — roughly 24 dB of sound reduction against roughly 15 dB for Light — plus locking hardware. Sliding doors span wide openings without needing swing clearance, running on a ceiling- or wall-mounted track — the space-saver for tight rooms.
Why choose Komandor for a home office partition?
