Made in Canada for over 20 years
Your dining room, spare bedroom or open corner can become a real home office — without drywall or darkness. A LUMI glass partition closes the room for calls and focus while daylight keeps moving: a swing door for the classic study, a sliding wall that disappears after hours, or a locking LUMI Heavy door when the room must stay private — in homes across Toronto & the GTA, and it moves with you. Projects like this typically land between $3,000 and $7,000 + installation, backed by a 2–10 year warranty depending on project type — up to 10 years on custom residential work — see what glass partitions cost.

Where a home office works best
Three real installs — and the three configurations that make a home office work: swing, sliding or lockable. Tap any card for the full case study.

Corner & open-plan offices
A fixed screen with a swing door carves a study out of a living or dining room — light passes through, the workday stays contained.

Enclosed focus rooms
A framed glass swing door turns a spare bedroom or den into a closed-door study — choose LUMI Heavy when you want real quiet: its larger jamb and integrated doorstop close the gaps (~24 dB vs ~15 dB).

Flexible sliding offices
Top-hung sliding panels need zero swing clearance — open the room by day, close it off for calls and deadlines.

Home office FAQs
How can I add a home office without building walls?
Glass partitions divide an open room, den, or corner into a defined workspace while keeping natural light — no permanent construction, and most installs are done in a day.
Can a glass-partition office reduce noise for calls?
Laminated acoustic glass with a well-fitted door gives a meaningful sound reduction for meetings and focus work — a reduction, not soundproofing — while frosted or fluted glass adds visual privacy for video calls. Tempered and laminated safety glass are both available.
What does a home office glass partition cost in Toronto?
Framed swing-door partitions start around $1,650, and larger multi-panel setups run higher. Sliding partitions run on a ceiling- or wall-mounted track, usually with no bottom floor track, and can be mixed with fixed screens for wide openings. See our glass partition cost guide for the full 2026 price ranges.
Prices are product only; installation quoted separately. Can a home office partition be lockable?
Yes. LUMI Heavy swing partitions take a locking handle — and the bigger difference is the jamb: Heavy uses a larger jamb with an integrated doorstop and no perimeter gaps, giving roughly 24 dB of sound reduction against roughly 15 dB for Light. That makes it the choice when the office holds client files or doubles as a private room. LUMI Light doors are non-locking by design.
Which glass is best for video calls?
Fluted or reeded glass keeps you a silhouette while daylight passes through, frosted gives full visual privacy, and clear low-iron keeps the room reading as one space. For sound, laminated acoustic glass is the choice for calls. Tempered and laminated safety glass are available throughout.
How long does a home office partition take?
Manufacture is typically about 14 days from your deposit — 21 at most — and installation by our own team is usually done in a day.
