The Komandor home gym glass wall

A glass partition separates the workout zone from the rest of the room while keeping light, sight lines and airflow, so the space never reads as a closed box. Tempered safety glass is standard, and laminated safety glass is available throughout.

A sliding partition closes the gym off for training and opens the room back up afterwards, which is why one room often works as both a gym and a media room. Sliding runs on a ceiling- or wall-mounted track, usually with no bottom floor track, and can be mixed with fixed screens for wide openings.

Noise is reduced, not removed. A LUMI Heavy door — larger jamb, integrated doorstop, no perimeter gaps — gives roughly 24 dB of reduction against roughly 15 dB for a Light door, which meaningfully cuts music and equipment noise. Clear low-iron glass keeps the space reading as one room, fluted and reeded glass hide equipment clutter while daylight passes through, and laminated acoustic glass is the pick when impact noise is the concern.

Every partition is made to measure in our Mississauga factory to a tolerance of 1/32″ and installed by our own team — one team from first sketch to final install, with no handoffs. Komandor has manufactured custom interiors in the GTA for over 20 years: European style, Canadian quality. Internal screens start at $700 and a framed partition with a single swing door at $1,650. Prices are for the product only — installation and delivery are quoted separately. Work is covered by a 2–10 year warranty depending on project type, with up to 10 years on custom residential work.
