The Komandor sliding closet door
Sliding fronts run on a ceiling- or wall-mounted track, single or double, usually with no bottom floor track. They need no swing clearance, which is what makes them the standard answer for tight bedrooms, hallways and condos.
Fronts are built in mirror, clear, frosted, tinted, fluted and back-painted glass — in tempered and laminated safety glass — and in panel finishes that can be matched to the room or combined within one door. Mirror fronts double as the dressing mirror and carry light back into a small room.
New doors can be fitted to an existing closet opening, so the room changes without the cabinetry behind it being replaced. Every door is made to measure in our Mississauga factory to a tolerance of 1/32″ and installed by our own team — one team from first sketch to final install, with no handoffs.
Komandor has manufactured custom interiors in the GTA for over 20 years: European style, Canadian quality. Work is covered by a 2–10 year warranty depending on project type, with up to 10 years on custom residential work.
Common questions
How long do sliding closet doors take?
Manufacture is typically about 14 days from your deposit — 21 at most — and installation by our own team is usually done in a day.
Does installation disrupt the bedroom?
No. Komandor systems install as cabinetry, with no changes to walls, plumbing or electrical. The track fastens at the head of the opening and the doors hang from it, so there is no floor work and no drywall repair afterwards.
Can you replace just the doors on an existing closet?
Yes. New custom doors are fitted to an existing opening — we measure precisely so they run smoothly and align cleanly. In a condo, our installers work within your building’s scheduled work hours, and we can supply the specifications your property manager or board needs to review.
