The Panorama — Wall-to-Wall Glass Bedroom Partition for a Studio Condo

LP-011

A studio’s whole problem is one room doing everything. Here a wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling glass partition with slim black aluminium framing and double glass doors carves a true bedroom out of a studio floor plan — without stealing the window. The bedroom sits on the window side, yet the living area loses none of its light: daylight passes straight through the clear glazing and its sheer curtain track, and the horizontal frame lines keep the wall reading as architecture.

Closed, the partition gives the bedroom acoustic and physical separation — a real door to shut. When privacy matters more than openness, the curtains draw across inside the glass, turning the transparent wall opaque in seconds. It’s the layered approach that makes glass work in a studio: structure from the partition, flexibility from the drapery.

For sound-rated versions of this configuration, Komandor’s double-glazed assemblies add acoustic mass while keeping the same slim sightlines. Every partition is manufactured in Mississauga and installed by Komandor’s own crews across Toronto’s condo and loft buildings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does a glass bedroom wall block sound?

Single glazing cuts conversational noise noticeably; for serious sound separation we install double-glazed acoustic assemblies.

How do you get privacy with clear glass?

A curtain or blind track inside the partition gives instant full privacy while keeping daylight the rest of the time.

Will this work in a rental or resale situation?

Partitions are non-structural and removable, and glass-divided bedrooms are a recognized layout in Toronto condo listings.
