When two rooms want to be separate but not sealed off, glass doors are the answer. The Beacon sets a pair of reeded-glass double doors in slim black aluminium between the living and dining rooms — closed, they define each space; open, the rooms flow as one.
The reeded glass passes light and softens the view between rooms into gentle texture, so neither space feels shut in, while the black frames read as crisp, architectural lines. The doors swing wide for entertaining and close for quiet, giving a real threshold without a solid wall’s weight or darkness.
The Beacon is built with Komandor’s LUMI system — tempered glass in slim aluminium framing, manufactured in Mississauga and installed by Komandor crews across Toronto and the GTA, sized and finished to your opening.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can glass doors divide two living spaces?
Yes — glass doors give separation and sound damping while keeping light and sightlines between rooms.
What is reeded glass?
Glass with vertical ribbing that softens the view and adds texture while still passing light.
Do the doors swing or slide?
This design uses swing doors; sliding versions suit tighter openings.
