Custom Closets by Komandor in a Toronto interior

Closets by Komandor

Custom Closets

Komandor designs, manufactures and installs custom closets for homes across Toronto and the GTA. Walk-in, reach-in, or a built-in wardrobe wall — every system is built to your space, your wardrobe and your budget, and installed by our own team from our Mississauga factory.

The Solutions

Made in Canada for over 20 years

Walk-in closets, reach-in closets, and built-in wardrobes — plus the sliding, barn, and glass doors to finish them — all built to your exact space in our Mississauga factory and installed by our own team. No subcontractors, no imported flat-pack — the factory showroom is open to walk-ins, and samples are available to take home.

The factory difference

Every closet is custom-designed to your room, manufactured in our own Mississauga factory, and installed by our own team — one company from plan to completed project, serving Toronto and the GTA. The factory, warehouse and Mississauga showroom share one address — 863 Rangeview Rd in Mississauga — and the showroom is open to walk-ins: the systems are on display full-size, and samples are available to take home. Your consultant takes precise measurements, the plant cuts to that measure, and nothing is subcontracted.

Systems & materials, honestly

Inside every Komandor closet is a component system we manufacture and stand behind: custom organizers, floor- or wall-mounted, ORTO aluminum shelving in L, U and H profiles, and the Opal cabinet-front program for hinged, tilt and drawer fronts. The finish library runs to roughly 60 laminate decors, 19 glass textures from fluted to frosted, clear, coloured and antique mirror, and 20+ back-painted glass colours on a low-iron base — plus the accessories that make a closet work day to day: LED lighting, pull-down rods, trays and drawer safes.

Canadian-stocked decors ship on our regular schedule, while European special-order decors can add 11–13 weeks; your consultant will confirm which applies before you commit.

Glass-front closets, partition-grade

Komandor is the same Mississauga factory behind LUMI glass partitions — so your closet fronts can be built on partition-grade aluminum systems, not furniture-grade hardware. Sliding glass and mirror fronts, back-painted colour, fluted and frosted textures, and the top-hung Studio system with no floor track. It is a look most closet companies can’t manufacture. What custom closets cost in Toronto & the GTA

Every Komandor closet is built to order in our Mississauga factory — precisely measured and cut, installed by our own team — and the starting prices are published, so you can plan with confidence.

Closet typeTypical starting price (before tax)
Reach-in closetFrom $2,500
Built-in wardrobe (sliding-front)From $3,500
Walk-in closetFrom $6,000
Multi-closet projects$8,000–$15,000

Prices are for the product only — installation and delivery are quoted separately.

Size, interior components, door fronts and finishes move the number — which is why the quote you get is itemized, line by line. We can also show you an AI-generated preview of the design in your own space. The design consultation in your home is free, production in our Mississauga plant takes about 14 days from deposit for Canadian-stocked materials, our own team installs, and the balance is due upon installation. Every system carries a 2–10 year warranty depending on project type — up to 10 years on custom residential work.

Closet pricing falls into two families: wall-hung systems from ~$850 + installation (singles typically to ~$2,500), and floor-based built-ins from ~$1,500 + installation (most projects land under ~$10,000).

Murphy bed wall units — a fold-away bed built into custom cabinetry — start from ~$2,200 + installation for the basic box and mechanism.

Real reviews, real installers

89 Houzz reviews at 4.8 stars — plus more on HomeStars and Google — Best of Houzz 2025 for Design plus three Service awards, and 10,000+ ideabook saves.

All of it can be verified in person: the factory showroom at 863 Rangeview Rd is open to walk-ins, and the Improve Design Centre at 7250 Keele St, Unit 87, Vaughan is open Wednesday to Saturday.

Custom closet FAQs

What types of custom closets does Komandor build?

Walk-in closets, reach-in closets, and built-in wardrobes, plus the sliding, bi-fold, barn, and glass doors to finish them — all custom-built to your room and installed across Toronto and the GTA.

Does Komandor manufacture its own closets?

Yes. Closets are manufactured in our own Mississauga factory and installed by our own team, not subcontracted.

Which closet is right for my space?

A walk-in suits a dedicated room, a reach-in fits an existing shallow closet, and a built-in wardrobe works on any open wall. We help you choose at consultation and design to your exact space.

How much do custom closets cost in the GTA?

Reach-in closets typically start around $2,500, built-in wardrobes around $3,500, and walk-ins around $6,000; most multi-closet projects land between $8,000 and $15,000. Cost depends on the closet type, size, components, and finishes. Published prices are for the product only; installation and delivery are quoted separately by size and complexity. Because every project is custom, we confirm your exact price with an itemized quote at consultation, and we can also show you an AI-generated preview of the design in your own space.

How long does a custom closet take to install?

Production in our Mississauga plant takes about 14 days from deposit for Canadian-stocked materials, and our own team installs. European special-order decors can add 11–13 weeks.

Can I get glass or mirror closet doors?

Yes — sliding glass, mirror and back-painted fronts are built on the same partition-grade aluminum systems as our LUMI line, including the top-hung Studio system with no floor track.
